Policies and Procedures

Please review the following policies for the KISD Natatorium.

 

Bad weather policy: In the event of severe weather, KISD Natatorium staff will monitor radio, TV & internet for alerts. Upon activation of emergency notification sirens by the City of Keller, staff will clear the pool & building of all patrons to shelter areas of refuge, within the facility.

Minimum Age requirement for Swim Lessons: Swimmers must be at least 3 years of age and fully potty-trained (i.e. no pull-ups or swim diapers allowed). Divers must be at least 6 years of age before enrolling in dive lessons.

Class Make-up Policy: There are no makeup classes offered for single missed classes, regardless of the reason for the missed class. Make-up lessons will only be granted in the event that a participant becomes seriously ill or injured for an extended period. In that event, the participant will be offered enrollment in the next regularly scheduled session of lessons. Re-scheduled Classes: In the rare instances where KISD Natatorium, GC Divers, or Lakeside Aquatic Club must cancel a scheduled class (due to weather, etc.), the make-up class day/time will be posted on this website, as well as posted at the pool. Only those participants who were registered for the class that was cancelled can attend the make-up class. No refunds or makeup classes are given if a participant cannot attend the re-scheduled class.

 

Refund Policy: REVISION Effective October 14, 2015, there will be no credit kept on file. Refunds will be issued for documented medical emergencies only. The documentation must include date, reason and be on doctor’s office letterhead. NO EXCEPTIONS!! If the lesson has started the refund will be prorated. All refunds will be issued in the form of a check, regardless of the original form of payment, and mailed within approx. 30 days of request.  It is the customer's responsibility, to review and acknowledge the refund and transfer policies, before completing registration. Refunds will not be given due to not reviewing prior to completing purchase.

 

Transfers Policy: REVISION Effective May 17, 2016, there will be a fee of $25 per child, per session charge to change/transfer classes.  This applies to ALL transfers for any reason, wrong date, time or session.  (Example: 3 kids to transfer for 1 session will be $75.00, 2 sessions will be $150.00 and so on.)  Transfer fees must be paid in cash or check at the front desk of the Natatorium before classes will be transferred.  We DO NOT accept credit/debit card payments. Transfers must be made prior to the session start date but will be accepted during the first week.  No transfers will be processed after the first week of session.  There will be no make-up lessons for missed classes, due to late transfers.  Transfers from season to season, i.e., Summer to Fall, Spring to Summer, etc., are not allowed (see Class Reservation Policy below).  *Additionally, money cannot be transferred from one program/purchase to another, i.e., swim to dive or vice versa.  It is the customer's responsibility, to review and acknowledge the refund and transfer policies, before completing registration.  Refunds will not be given due to not reviewing prior to completing purchase.

 

Class Registration Policy: Class registrations may be completed online (by credit card), or in person at the KISD Natatorium Front Desk (by cash or check only), during the pre-determined registration dates.  Registration dates can be found by clicking Swim Lessons or Dive Lessons. Registrations will not be taken over the phone and cannot be filled out in advance and left at the front desk, for next day processing.  

 

Class Reservation Policy: The KISD Natatorium does not allow the reservation of spaces in any program. Class registration is performed on a first-come, first-serve basis ONLY. Participation in a session of any program at the KISD Natatorium does not guarantee space in any subsequent session. Registration is considered complete only upon receipt of payment in full for the intended classes.

 

NO Parents on Deck: Parents and/or spectators are NOT ALLOWED ON DECK at any time, for any reason. If a parent has a reason to be on deck before, during, or after any class or program, the parent must obtain prior written authorization from the Natatorium and GC Divers and/or Lakeside Swim School in order to be allowed on deck for an expressly specified period of time.

Women's Locker Room Policy:  Male children over age 5 are not permitted in the women's locker room.  If you are changing your age 5 and under male child, please use either the handicap stall or private dressing rooms, as a courtesy to other patrons.  If you need to assist your over age 5 male child in getting dressed, please use the women's restroom upstairs.

 

Please note: Anyone who registers for any class is expressly agreeing to abide by these policies. The KISD Natatorium, GC Divers, and Lakeside Swim School reserve the right to alter these policies at any time without notice.
