Q: Can classes be reserved?  
A: No.  The KISD Natatorium does not allow the reservation of spaces in any program. Class registration is performed on a first-come, first-serve basis ONLY. Participation in a session of any program at the KISD Natatorium does not guarantee space in any subsequent session. Registration is considered complete only upon receipt of payment in full for the intended classes.

Q: Can I pay for classes over the phone?  
A: No.  Please register HERE

Q: Will I receive an email reminder notification of when classes start.
A: No.  The Keller ISD Natatorium does not send reminder emails.
 
Q: What if my child is sick and misses a class?  
A: If your child is sick and misses a class, there are no make-up classes or refunds. Please contact Bailey.Chryst@swimlac.org
 
Q: What if a class is cancelled for inclement weather conditions?
A: In the rare instance, where KISD Natatorium, GC Divers, or Lakeside Aquatic Club must cancel a scheduled class (due to weather, etc.), the make-up class day/time will be posted on this website, as well as posted at the pool. Only those participants who were registered for the class that was cancelled can attend the make-up class. No refunds or makeup classes are given if a participant cannot attend the re-scheduled class.

Q:  What if classes are sold out online, is there a wait list?  
A:  If classes are sold out in your child's age group, email Bailey.Chryst@swimlac.org to be added to the wait-list.
 
Q: What if I signed up for wrong session/time/days?  Can I get a refund?  
A: Effective October 14, 2015, there will be no credit kept on file. Refunds will be issued for documented long-term medical emergencies or illnesses only. The documentation must include date, reason and be on doctor’s office letterhead. NO EXCEPTIONS!! If the lesson has started the refund will be prorated. All refunds will be issued in the form of a check, regardless of the original form of payment, and mailed within approx. 30 days of request.

Q: Can I transfer class to different day/time?  
A: Effective May 17, 2016, there will be a fee of $25 per child,  per session charge to change/transfer classes.  This applies to ALL transfers for any reason; wrong date, time or session.  (Example: 3 kids to transfer for 1 session will be $75.00, 2 sessions will be $150.00 and so on.)  Transfer fee must be paid in cash or check at the front desk of the Natatorium before any class will be transferred.  Transfers will only be made if there is space available in the preferred class day/time.  We DO NOT accept credit/debit card payments at the front desk.

Q: Can you transfer charges from one program or purchase to another?

A: No. They are separate entities, therefore, funds cannot be transferred.
 
Q: How many kids are in the swim lesson classes?  
A: Classes are normally 5 students to 1 swim coach teacher.

Q: Do you cancel lessons due to thunderstorms?  
A: No.  In the event of severe weather, KISD Natatorium staff will monitor radio, TV & internet for alerts.  Upon activation of emergency notification sirens by the City of Keller, staff will clear the pool & building of all patrons and direct them to shelter areas of refuge, within the facility.


Q: How do I get my child on a swim team?
A: Lakeside Aquatics Club (LAC) teaches all the strokes in their swim lesson program.  Once they have mastered all the necessary strokes, the instructor will determine if they are ready to advance to LAC's stroke team.  Once on the stroke team, all correspondence, payments and questions will go directly through LAC's team manager. Stroke team swimmers can also advance to their competitive team.  Try-outs and questions regarding swim team can be found on their website.

Q: What if my child's age group is sold out?
A: If the your child's age group is sold out, you can email Bailey.Chryst@swimlac.org to be added to the wait-list.

Q: Is there a wait-list if all classes are sold out in a session?
A: Yes. You can request to be placed on a wait-list by sending an email to Bailey.Chryst@swimlac.org.

Facility
 
Q: Do I have to be a resident of Keller to use your facility or participate in programs?
A: No, we do not require you to be a Keller resident.
 
Q:  Do you have a weight room or fitness area for public use?
A:  No. Our weight room and equipment is strictly for KISD student athletes and club swim and dive teams.

Q: Are the diving boards available for public use?
A: No. As of October 1, 2018, all diving boards are for KISD, Northwest ISD and GC Divers use only!  Public and recreational use if prohibited.
 
Q: Do you have a lost & found?
A: Yes, we have a lost & found, located in the west side of the lobby, just to the right, before the girl's lobby locker room entrance.  PLEASE NOTE:  We DO NOT keep track of the length of time items are left here.  We are not responsible for the return of items left at or taken from our facility.  Items can be donated without notice and current items could possibly be donated with older items.  

Q: What temperature do you keep the water?
A: We keep the water between 80-82 degrees year round.

Q: Is your pool chlorine or salt water?
A: Chlorine. We test our chemicals daily to ensure proper levels.
 
Q: Do you close for bad weather; i.e. thunderstorms, tornado warnings, ice, etc.?
A: No. In the event of severe weather, KISD Natatorium staff will monitor radio, TV & internet for alerts.  Upon activation of emergency notification sirens by the City of Keller, staff will clear the pool & building of all patrons and direct them to shelter areas of refuge, within the facility.

Q: Do you close for winter weather events if Keller ISD cancels school?
A: Yes. In the event of inclement weather, we do follow the District's recommendation. 

Q: Do you follow the same closings for all KISD student holidays?
A: No. Since we are a public facility we do not follow all school campus closings. The holidays we observe are New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Q: Are dogs allowed in the facility?
A: Only Certified Service Animals are allowed in our facility. 
 
Q: Are dogs allowed on the front lawn during dive/swim meet events?
A: Yes. Leashed dogs are welcome on the lawn during large all-day meet events. Please DO NOT leave pets in your car. 

Q: Do you do birthday parties?
A: No. We do not have the space available.

Q: Do you rent lanes for training/coaching purposes?
A: No. We are currently at capacity with meets and club programs.
